Isn't this a yummy snack? A quartered apple, two pieces of dried mango and a few unsalted nuts. Mmmmm. :)
Gosh, it really is Autumn now. The swallows have gone, and it was only 1 degree celsius here yesterday morning, brrrr!
I'm making a concerted effort to finish some of my yarny projects this Autumn and Winter. I have quite a few things on my needles/hook and I really want to dip into my gift yarns again too! On Christmas Eve last year I was blessed to receive a parcel of yarn skeins from one of my blog readers, all the way from America! I shared them with my daughter and my Mum and so far I have made a hat, scarf and have a shawl on my needles. I haven't planned what to make with the Autumn brown skein or the ice-cream one yet....ooooh the fun of deciding! :)
I went to visit my parents this afternoon, they live just a few miles away in the village. As you know, my Dad has been battling cancer for over four years now, along with other serious health problems. A few days ago he was diagnosed with diabetes, which has come as a real blow. He was in good form today though, and we all managed to laugh and joke together, it was good. All we can do is take the good days and enjoy them, and be there for each other on the bad days. I'm grateful that we live near each other.
Curry is on the menu for dinner tonight...nice and warming. :)
Happy Friday Friends! xxx
