Yes, I've been at it again.
I took some old pairs of jeans, and cut out 14 (yes 14) panels from the legs. I got 4 panels out of some of the jeans and only two from the ones with faded knees. I then zig-zag stitched around every panel (glutton for punishment) before sewing them all together. After that, I attached the skirt part to the top part of one of the pairs of jeans.
Hideous, I know, but it looks okay with a long tunic top...
(I chopped my head off the pic because I had a really silly facial expression...a bit like Goofy...no honestly!)
I now have no trousers or jeans to my name. None.
As you know, I've always preferred skirts and dresses, so it seems okay to not have any jeans any more. To be honest, none of them were particularly comfy anyway, so no loss. :) I have an old knee-length flarey denim skirt which I wear with leggings when doing messy things like varnishing the hut floor. Oooooh, I so want to show you the hut....but the weather has been against us lately.
Soon, I promise! :)
The weather has turned rather chilly around here, only 2 degrees celsius yesterday morning! It's the kind of weather that induces hibernation...
Our evenings are spent by the fireside, with books, tea, knitting an other quiet pastimes. I've put my stripy sweater on hold and am knitting hubby a pair of woolly gloves and reading Jane Eyre. Sadly, I'm not one of those amazing multi-tasking knitters who can do both at the same time!
Keep cosy, (or cool, depending on where you are in the world!)
Happy Tuesday Friends! xxx
