|Christine and myself|
I had the pleasure of meeting up with Christine on Saturday! We were having a blogger's tea party, but unfortunately Jill couldn't make it after all.
(you were missed, Jilly-baby!)
A nice tattooed man took the above pic of us with our tea and knitting. Yes, there is knitting in the pic, but it's in its early stages, lol!
We were in Deans of Huntly, which was quite funny for me, as I remember Helen Dean from my childhood. She used to make shortbread for the Pipe Band my Dad and brothers played in. Being now gluten-free, I can no longer partake of her delicious shortbread, but I can definitely say it is the best!
In blogger's-tea-party-tradition, Christine and I exchanged gifts while we sipped our tea/coffee. I can't show you the delights I received, as I know Christine has some wrapped up for Jill too. Can't spoil her surprise now, can I? :)
I had done a little illustration thingy for Christine, as she will be moving away soon. I wanted her to have a little memento of our get-togethers. I hope you can make it out...myself, Christine and Jill...
Christine and I had a little wander round the town afterwards, and it was a lovely mild day, perfect for meandering and chatting. :)
It was a lovely day, and a refreshing break from the norm. I'm already looking forward to seeing the girls next time! :)
Today was mild and sunny again, so hubby and I went off for a jaunt in the car. We went round a few shops, and he bought me a new watch, as my old one has finally given up. I went for something a bit different this time. It has embroidered flowers on the strap.
We hit the beach on the way home, as the weather was too good to miss. Our shadows look very squat and wide!....
Others were enjoying the blue skies and sunny sands too...
What a tonic!
So, a lovely weekend of warm sun, good company and happy, simple pleasures!
