This is hubby and me today.
We were awake all night because of severe gales, battering the house, tearing down one of our big trees and terrifying the dog, who had to move his bed into our room and whined every time the wind howled....zzzzz
The dog also wanted out four times during the night....zzzzz
We had to get up early this morning....zzzzzz
Of course the dog has now been sound asleep in his bed since breakfast!
I've been pottering around today, getting a few things done, etc, but I had to cancel a visit to my parents, as the gales are still raging, and I can hardly stand up in it, never mind drive the car past all the nearby trees!
Thankfully, the hen's run is in a sheltered place, and they seem unconcerned at the booming and howling of the wind above them. :)
Hubby and I have been watching the BBC version (best!) of Pride & Prejudice these past few evenings. Episode 4 tonight...yippee! We have watched it literally dozens of times over the years, it is such a fantastic production.
It's the 200th anniversary of the book by Jane Austen this year, so there will be lots of things going on up and down the country. Wouldn't you love to dress up in period costume for a day? I know I would, but only for a day, I don't fancy those corsets for much longer than that!

If you've only seen the film version of P&P I urge you to get the BBC series of it. It is absolutely wonderful. :)
Off now before I....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
